Lord Howe Island Marine Park

The marine park surrounding Lord Howe Island contains the world's southernmost
 barrier coral reef.

In here swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving are all popular
in the crystal waters of the park, and boat trips and diving tours operate
from the island.

The small human population and limited visitor numbers have
ensured that marine resources are only lightly exploited,
so swimming and snorkeling with myriad colourful fish is the norm.
