This monumental bridge is a through type arch bridge that connects the Sydney Central business district and the North Shore in NSW. The significance about this structure built under DR J Bradfield is that this bridge is the world’s widest long span bridge, fifth longest spanning arch bridge and the tallest steel arch bridge. The bridge that was opened in 1932 continued to be the tallest structure in Sydney till 1967.
From 1998 onwards, BridgeClimb has made it available and possible for cuious adventourists and tourists to climb half the sudden side of the bridge. Tours run available both during day and night with the exception that there are no electrical storms or high wind.
