The sydney opera house in sydney is a multi purpose multi venue performing arts centre. Officialy made a UNESCO world heritage site on 28th june 2007 it is one of the most special and famous buildings in the world. Situated on the Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour almost under the sydney harbour bridge , it is one of the most busiest performance arts centre being host to over 1500 performance every year with almost 1.2 million people attending the performances. One of the extravagant features of this heritage site is that it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on the 20th of October 1973. The venue also served as the focult point in the 2000 Summer Olympics for the triathlon events.
Visitors to this place have said that the Sydney Opera house when viewed from a ferry or from air above the Sydney Harbour bridge is dramatic and Unforgettable.
Not only has the Sydney Opera House is recognisable, it has also come to represent Australia. The Sydney Opera house went along to be invcluded later on in the National Heritage List in 2005 and also to be inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2007.
